Jítrava lies at the foot the 790 m Velký Vápený mountain, which is part of the Ještěd range, and on their north side begin the Lusatian Mountains and the popular White Stones (Elephant Stones) tourist attraction.

Jítrava lies beneath the Ještěd-Kozák ridge on the upper section of the Virgin Stream, about 2.5 km northeast of Rynoltice.
